Selection and admission of students for social work education: key issues and debates in relation to practice and policy in England

This research was commissioned by SWAP in response to concerns raised through the Social Work Task Force about the calibre of students being admitted to social work programmes by Universities in England. The research elucidates the complexity of the admissions process for social work and provides some findings relevant to the Task Force recommendations.
