This guide focuses on e-portolios in the Higher Education (HE) sector principally those authored by students. The purpose of this guide is to provide a basic introduction to e-portolios: what they are how they are being used potential benefits and challenges technical implications and how they might be introduced. Particular attention is given to applications involving physical sciences students but much of the information included is interdisciplinary by its very nature.
