Liverpool John Moores University is situated in close-proximity to Ireland. Accordingly the university recruits a large number of students particularly from Northern Ireland. Traditionally it has been noted that Northern Irish students although classed as ‘home students’ often struggle in making the transition to Higher Education in the UK.
