Teaching of Health and Safety in Architectural Education

This briefing note is to aid the teaching of health and safety in the design studios of schools of architecture and is intended to be of use to full-time part-time and visiting staff - that is both those who remain in architectural practice and those who do not. It focuses on regulation 13 of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations ("CDM Regulation 13") which is a European-wide piece of legislation requiring designers in the construction industry to take account of - and if possible reduce - risks to construction workers when they are designing
