Higher Education is not immune to the continued march of globalisation which has already changed the competitive landscape for many sectors of industry and commerce. As a consequence university strategies need to look beyond local and national issues and define their goals and KPIs in an international context. When doing so it is important to be able to benchmark against other international institutions in order to identify our strengths and weaknesses and to be able to set realistic goals and KPIs.
This study outlines the role that the QS Stars framework played in the formation of the 2013-2018 University Strategy at the University of Huddersfield.
