What else do students and staff bring with them to the Education seminar room when they “bring their own devices”? - HEA Annual Conference 2017 - Generation TEF: Teaching in the spotlight

A study of Education staff and student attitudes towards and experiences of learning with technology in a changing technological landscape.

This session reports on recent survey based and focus group research conducted with staff and students in a university department of Education on attitudes towards and experiences of learning with technology. We document the diverse individual perspectives and preferences and also diversity between institutional policies given that students of Education move between the university as a site for learning and schools as sites for practice-based learning. We reflect and we invite our audience to join us in reflecting on the implications for the interactive HE classroom in the age of Generation TEF.
