Beatrice is an industrial designer and ergonomist specialising in designing systems and designs that are based on meeting the evidenced needs of recipients and end users. She is passionate about this approach as properly done it delivers a design outcome that makes a real and measurable difference to lives.
She works at a local, regional and national level in regeneration, specialising in delivering social and economic improvements working with local communities and a range of public, private and third sector partners .She has been Chair of several successful regeneration bodies, all putting this approach at the heart of the organisations.
She has a strong regulatory background having been a non executive director of the Standards Board for England, Chair of the Architects Registration Board and a CQC lead on the ‘well led’ domain.
As Chair of Mersey Care NHS FT Beatrice is heavily involved in cross sectorial Place Making in Cheshire and Merseyside; a trustee of NHS Providers and a member of the NHS Confederation mental health board.
Beatrice is a Trustee of the Design Council; a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects. She is a panel member of NW and London Design Review panels.
