Director of Access, Learning & Outcomes at the Scottish Funding Council
Dr Donna MacKinnon is the newly appointed Director of Access, Learning & Outcomes at the Scottish Funding Council. Donna joined the SFC from the Scottish Government where she spent 14 years in a variety of roles including as a senior civil servant Head of Local Government and Head of Community Justice.
Donna worked on a number of major events such as the 2014 Commonwealth Games, the FM led Syrian refugee resettlement programme and the Grenfell Tower Tragedy. Donna is passionate about diversity in the workplace and is currently part of a Whitehall and Industry women in Leadership cohort. She is an experienced coach and mentor. Donna began her career as a university lecturer (History and social sciences) and a researcher in youth transitions.
