Student Engagement Research and Projects Officer, University of Winchester
Maisha Islam is the Student Engagement Research and Projects Officer at the University of Winchester, whilst also studying for an EdD. Maisha’s main research interests lie in the area of BAME and Muslim student experience in Higher Education, where she has written and published on these topics. More recently, Maisha has received a Good Practice Grant from Advance HE to produce a ‘What Works?’ case study about how universities can better foster a sense of belonging for Muslim students, as well as sitting on the UUK-Advance HE staff panel which developed guidance for tackling racial harassment in universities. Maisha also sits on the Office for Students’ Student Panel.
