Emma joined the University of Salford in 2017 from the University of Warwick, where she worked as a Learning Developer and managed skills development for research students. She previously lectured in English Literature and Cultural Studies at Leeds and Leeds Beckett universities and worked in independent publishing. She has a PhD in English Literature from the University of Leeds and is also an Advance HE Fellow and a Mental Health First Aider.
