Bringing together a careers consultant, with learning technologists and media specialists, enables a holistic approach for equipping undergraduates with future-facing skills. The E-Learning Unit in the School of Mathematics, Statistics & Physics promotes using technology to support the teaching and learning of mathematics in the School, University and wider community through collaborative initiatives and innovations. This includes the Numbas e-assessment software and the Coursebuilder tool for creating accessible mathematics learning material.

As ‘Agents for the Common Good’ we transformed the learning for our Physiotherapy students through a four-way collaboration with community partners, health service users, students and academics. This partnership impacted positively on the health of thousands of services users in Greater Glasgow, and metamorphosed all partners beyond instrumental commitments towards empowering experiences.

Our Assessment Centre Experience (ACE) is a collaboration between key stakeholders which supports students who may not have the social and cultural capital to navigate recruitment processes. Delivered via embedded modules in the curriculum to over 3,000 students from across nine academic schools, it has a positive impact on employability.

At its heart is a passion for sustainable and nutritious food – and sharing that passion with students, staff, local businesses and communities. MetMUnch run a range of sessions, from on-the-spot nutritional advice, to leading on fun, interactive activities and science focussed workshops.

This clinical legal education initiative mixes the theory of law with the practice of client and community work, in a mechanism that enables a maximum output for the inputted resource.
