Nona McDuff is the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Student Experience and Outcomes at London Metropolitan University. Nona was awarded an OBE for her services to Higher Education and is a Principal Fellow. Throughout her career, Nona has fostered debate on race, racism and the academy, shining a light on the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) awarding gap and the need for a whole institution approach to improving social mobility.
Dr Aiden McGowan

Dr Aidan McGowan is a senior lecturer in Computer Science in Queen’s University Belfast. Aidan’s philosophy of teaching includes a personalisation of learning, industry focus and a determination to make his teaching accurate, relevant and fun.
Lois Gray
Job Title:Academic Lead Developer and Lecturer in Engineering
Institution: University of the Highlands and Islands
Year: 2021
As an experienced academic developer and popular lecturer, Lois Gray embraces digital technology to promote inclusion. She developed the world’s only Engineering Council accredited, distance-learning degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Appointed as a Senior and Chartered Engineer, she champions tertiary progression, gender diversity, and provision of work-based learning.
Sarah Gretton
Job Title:Natural Sciences Programme Director
Institution: University of Leicester
Year: 2021
Dr Sarah Gretton is Director of the Natural Sciences programme and institutional lead for Education of Sustainable Development (ESD). Sarah has re-designed and redeveloped interdisciplinary science teaching resulting in improved student experience and outcomes. Her leadership of ESD has resulted in the University achieving a top 10 UK ranking.
Chantelle Haughton
Job Title:Senior Lecturer in Early Years and Primary Education Studies
Institution: Cardiff Metropolitan University
Year: 2021
Chantelle Haughton, Senior Lecturer at Cardiff Metropolitan University, pioneered the development of an Outdoor Learning Centre on campus, regenerating a neglected ancient Welsh woodland, rooted in nurture and imagination. Civic mission and cynefin (habitat) projects involve students as partners, children, teachers, local and national stakeholders teaching, learning, researching and developing together.
Penny Hay
Job Title:Reader in Creative Teaching and Learning and Senior Lecturer in Arts Education, School of Education; Research Fellow, Centre for Cultural and Creative Industries

Dr Penny Hay is dedicated to transformative teaching and learning, underpinned by a clear set of values and a focus on innovation and creativity. She has prioritised students as co-researchers in learning and as co-educators, in flexible learning environments that invite self-directed enquiry and co-enquiry in a creative and immersive learning environment.
Chris Headleand

Dr Christopher Headleand joined the University of Lincoln in 2016 as a Lecturer in Computer Science. He is now the School Director of Teaching and Learning (DTL) and an Associate Professor. In 2020 he was awarded a teaching excellence award by the institution for work in student engagement.
Louise Hewitt
Job Title:Director Innocence Project London/Lecturer in Law

Dr Louise Hewitt has developed the work of the Innocence Project London to provide an opportunity for law and criminology students to undertake clinical legal education in the context of investigating claims of innocence from convicted individuals who have maintained their innocence but exhausted the appeals process.

Dr Glenn Hurst is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence at the University of York. He uses holistic systems thinking approaches to equip the scientists, engineers and policymakers of tomorrow with the knowledge and skills to address complex and interdisciplinary global problems.
Mark Ingham
Job Title:Reader in Critical and Nomadic Pedagogies
Institution: University of the Arts London
Year: 2021
Mark’s research over the last 35 years has combined encounters with rhizomatic and meta-cognitive learning theories, fuzzy narratives and virtual and physical liminal teaching spaces. He critiques concepts such as assemblage theory and nomadic thinking with ideas of belonging and critical pedagogies.
Gillian Knight

Dr Gillian Knight is an Associate Professor in Education and Associate Dean in Education at Aston University. She is a Principal Fellow and Fellow of Royal Society of Biology. Catherine Lee
