Disruptive Innovation and the Higher Education Ecosystem Post-2012

This Stimulus paper follows on from a previous paper and presents two scenarios arising from potential ‘disruptions’ in higher education, based on the changes which have already taken place in professional services over the last 10-15 years. The paper argues that the challenges posed by these future disruptors would require innovation in areas well beyond traditional research, knowledge transfer and the curriculum and to a much greater extent than is already happening in many institutions.
