Exploring museum spaces and their collections as tools for interdisciplinary ESD

This presentation was delivered at the Interdisciplinary Sustainability Education: Insights Momentum and Futures event held at the Higher Education Academy in York on 14th December 2011. The event shared findings from eight inter-disciplinary Education for sustainable development projects funded in 2010 by the HE Academy.

Dr Ian Fairweather of C-SAP Debbie Flint of the Art Design and Media Subject Centre and Adam Mannies of the UK Centre for Materials Education all HEA subject centres gave this presentation about a HEA funded interdisciplinary sustainability education project (ESD). The aim of the project was to evaluate how museum spaces and collections can assist interdisciplinary pedagogies and curricula for sustainable development.
