Exploring the 'Myths' of Enhanced Learning through Group Work Assessment

This chapter draws on the reflections of a group of staff attempting to parallel the experience of students participating in group work as an assessment tool and compares the data generated from a staff and student survey on group work with the staff reflections on their own group work process. Through our case study we explore some of the "myths" about group work assessment as set out in a paper by Livingstone and Lynch (2000: 327).
