Online learning: its implications for deep learning assessment and retention

The aim of the project was to examine the use of online learning within the History International Relations and Politics (HIP) subject group at Coventry University.

The intention was to gain a clearer understanding of the value that online learning adds to the student experience. This specifically related to the impact on student participation in class. A key question that it was hoped would be answered was whether online learning would be of particular use in assisting those students who find the transition to Higher Education a difficult process.
