Patrick is a Senior Learning Adviser at Advance HE, having joined the organisation in April 2019. His role involves supporting universities in the UK and internationally with all aspects of pedagogy, focusing particularly on learning, teaching, assessment and feedback. He also undertakes significant work in Advance HE’s sustainability activity, and is an author of the forthcoming QAA / Advance HE Education for Sustainable Development Guidelines. He has held previous appointments at University College London (UCL), City (City, University of London) and the University of Leicester. His research interests lie in the study of higher education as well as in areas of educational development. He has published a wide range of journal articles, book chapters and case studies in areas including assessment, sustainability in higher education, and qualitative methodology.
