Teaching and Learning Conference 2019: Innovating critical thinking development across the curriculum: How good are we?

This paper will discuss an interdisciplinary project designed to provide students with the necessary critical thinking skills to succeed academically and in employment and to provide staff with the resources to support this development. This innovative approach to critical thinking teaching has resulted in the development of a suite of Critical Thinking Skills Toolkits tailored to the needs of different academic disciplines. It will explain how a team of of educational developers faculty teaching staff academic skills advisors librarians employers and students are collaboratively using these to develop innovative curricula to inform learning teaching and assessment practice to support progression and attainment
