During 2013-14 the HEA ran the Transforming assessment pilot scheme working with a group of HE organisations from across the UK to help them make changes in assessment policy and practice. We did this through applying the review tool contained in the HEA publication A marked improvement.
The pilot also further tested this approach to transforming assessment. It also provided an opportunity for institutions to develop and share knowledge experience and practice about the effectiveness of various ways to transform assessment in HE.
Eight institutions took part in the pilot:
- Birkbeck University of London
- Buckinghamshire New University
- Keele University
- Teesside University
- University of Edinburgh
- University of Liverpool
- University of Roehampton
- University of Southampton
